PICASO TO PROVIDE GLOBAL COLLABORATION, QUICK INSTALLATION AND LOW COST TO EUROPEAN CHEMICAL MANUFACTURER

PHILADELPHIA, PA, USA – September 25, 2007 – OXEA, one of the largest suppliers of oxo-chemical products and olefin derivatives, based in Oberhausen, Germany, has selected WAM Systems' Picaso™ Supply Chain Planning Solution to manage its collaborative forecasting and demand management processes. With an aggressive implementation timeline, the company is being closely supported by WAM Systems' local office in Wiesbaden which is installing the solution to seamlessly integrate to OXEA's ERP system.

Once fully deployed, the Picaso platform will support OXEA's global demand forecasting process and facilitate their monthly demand review meeting. Targeted benefits of the system include:
  • Electronic collection, distribution, and stewardship of collaborative sales forecast data provided by the global participants in OXEA's monthly forecasting process
  • Offline ability to edit forecasts while disconnected from the corporate network and ability to synchronize updates during the next connection
  • Integration with OXEA's ERP system for master and transactional data
  • Integration with OXEA's established S&OP process and toolset
  • Extensibility of Picaso to eventually replace and support all supply chain planning functions
  • Lower total cost of ownership than OXEA's previous technology
