Supply Chain Visibility Solution to Provide Improved Global Visibility and Optimized Production

HOUSTON, TX — August 22, 2008 — WAM Systems, a leading provider of supply chain planning solutions to the process industry, today announced a project with Americas Styrenics LLC to implement WAM's Picaso solution throughout installations in the U.S. as well as Latin America.

Americas Styrenics LLC, a joint venture equally owned by The Dow Chemical Company and Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP, will use the common platform provided by Picaso to achieve global visibility to its supply chain operations. With the company’s new combined assets and product slate, Picaso will serve a critical role in helping to optimize the use of production facilities and improve the product mix. In addition, Americas Styrenics LLC plans to implement Picaso's Advanced Planning (AP) functionality to support more vital network wide Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process as well as longer range planning.

The project, which started in July 2008, expands upon a long-time Picaso installation in the company's Marietta, Ohio facility to encompass a comprehensive network of production facilities throughout the region, including all of Dow's legacy plants.

"We look forward to extending the functionality that we're using in Marietta to our new production network. With the single-source solution provided by Picaso, we will obtain critical visibility of our new operations enabling us to utilize the combined production assets to maximum potential", said Randy Pogue, Vice President of Supply Chain, Purchasing and Information Technology for Americas Styrenics LLC.
