OXEA SELECTS PICASO FOR A GLOBAL SUPPLY CHAIN PLANNING IMPROVEMENT INITIATIVE
Oxo-Chemicals Producer to Achieve High Visibility Over Planning and Production

Philadelphia, PA, USA – September 15, 2008 – Oxea, one of the largest suppliers of oxo-chemical products and olefin derivatives, has selected WAM Systems' Picaso™ Supply Chain Planning Solution for a three year project to strengthen global production, inventory management and operational visibility.

Building upon an existing program which rolled out forecasting to its global operations, Oxea will implement a phased installation to begin in the company’s Oberhausen location, followed closely by sites in Marl, Germany, Bay City, Texas and Bishop Texas.

Among the challenges being addressed by the project are a focus on improved sequencing of production on all batch units, a reduction in all non-optimal shipping and raw materials purchases and improved forecast accuracy.

“We look forward to the increased visibility and functionality that Picaso will provide, particularly in our short term operations,” said Bob Gengelbach, Executive Board Member for Purchasing and Supply Chain. “Picaso will help us improve our operational flexibility, enabling us to more efficiently respond to disruptions with little or no impact to customer service levels or global production. Further, Picaso will extend our planning functionality while fully leveraging our existing ERP investments, critical to the organization as a whole.”

The project is expected to begin by the end of the year with full completion by 2010. Planned Picaso modules include Distribution Replenishment Planning (DRP), Supply Chain Event Monitor, Production Scheduling, Inventory Targeting and Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP).
