WAM SYSTEMS SUPPORTS EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM
FOR SUPPLY CHAIN PLANNING
Veteran Solution Provider Supports Rider University’s
Global Supply Chain Planning Program

PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA — February 26, 2009 — WAM Systems, a leading provider of supply chain planning solutions to the process industry, today announced two speaking engagements at Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey.

Steve Wallace, Industry Relations Manager for WAM Systems, will present an introduction to supply chain planning to students in the university’s new course, Introduction to Global Supply Chain Management. Rider is offering this course to help jumpstart its new Global Supply Chain Management Program which officially launches in September 2009. Tan Miller, Director of the newly-created program, organized the presentations to help give students a well-rounded understanding of the planning landscape and the many areas of focus involved in the process of strategically managing a company’s overall supply chain operation.

“As we prepare to introduce Rider University’s Supply Chain Program, it’s important to establish strong ties with the business community which can allow students to gain access to the real-world application of the procedures and technologies in use for supply chain planning,” said Miller. “WAM Systems not only provides planning solutions to companies but also conducts a considerable amount of industry research and analysis to support their business direction, which makes them well-positioned to comment on the latest trends and issues facing the industry. WAM can bring both an overview of best-practices planning methodologies as well as a practical understanding of how companies are conducting their day-to-day operations. Their assessment from the front lines of business lends itself quite well to our educational program. We’re grateful that WAM Systems is supporting our efforts by bringing this expertise to the classroom.”

Wallace has been conducting WAM’s outreach efforts for the last nine years and regularly presents to mid- and large-sized planning teams for companies in the chemical, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, refining, personal care and consumer packaged goods industries. In his role at WAM, he helps conduct preliminary planning analysis for companies looking to improve their supply chain planning processes and supporting technologies.

The two presentations are scheduled for afternoon programs on Friday, February 27, 2009 on the university’s Lawrenceville campus.
