ARKEMA TO IMPLEMENT WAM SUPPLY CHAIN SOLUTION TO SUPPORT GLOBAL PRODUCT LINE


PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA. — June 8, 2010 — WAM Systems, a leading provider of supply chain planning solutions designed for process manufacturers, announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to implement its supply chain planning solution in support of Arkema's global Kynar® polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) product line.

Arkema, headquartered in France, is a world-class producer of industrial chemicals with total revenues in excess of $6B. The Kynar® PVDF line is an engineered thermoplastic resin valued for its weatherability, chemical resistance, high purity, toughness and flame retardency. It's used in a wide variety of end-use markets including architectural coatings, chemical processing industry, photovoltaics, lithium ion batteries, automotive.

“We selected WAM after an extensive evaluation of planning solution market leaders,” explains Dominique Petit, Arkema supply chain solution project manager. “This global initiative will be a catalyst to standardizing tools and sharing supply chain management best practices across Arkema.”

The Kynar® division is implementing the full suite of the WAM Supply Chain Solution, including Demand Planning, Sales and Operations Planning, Inventory Optimization, and Detailed Production Scheduling. It is rolling out across the US, Europe, and Asia as a pilot for a planned global rollout throughout Arkema.
